MARSHALL, Mo. (AP) - A former central Missouri fire chief has been ordered to spend 13 years in prison after pleading guity to various sex charges involving children.

KRCG-TV of Jefferson City (https://bit.ly/27QQp1l ) reports that former Slater Fire Chief Levi Dennis pleaded guilty Monday in Saline County to charges of possession of child porn, invasion of privacy and photographing a child under the age of 14 in a sexually explicit position.

Prosecutors dropped more than a dozen other charges.

Dennis was arrested in September 2015. The county’s top prosecutor, Donald Stouffer, says Dennis spent years molesting several girls as young as 11, took sexually explicit pictures of them and threatened them when they considered reporting it.
