LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles police have arrested a man they say lit two people on fire at a homeless encampment.

The Los Angeles Times reports (https://lat.ms/1TCPIm7 ) that detectives believe the 54-year-old man approached the camp on May 19, threw a flammable liquid on two people and set them on fire.

According to a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department, patrol officers arrested the man Saturday on attempted murder charges.

Police say the victims were seriously injured and are in stable condition.
