BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Fire officials say an explosion at an automobile repair shop in Garden City has caused significant damage.

The Idaho Statesman reports (https://bit.ly/1sMBPIp ) that no one had been in the shop at the time of the incident Sunday and no injuries have been reported.

Boise Fire Department spokeswoman Tammy Barry says fire officials suspect the explosion, which blew out one wall of the building, was caused by a cutting torch in the shop. They believe a worker operating the torch may have failed to turn it off before leaving.

Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the flames.

The property will remain closed while it undergoes an inspection.
