LAS VEGAS (AP) - Norwegian Air Shuttle says it plans to expand is Las Vegas operations by adding flights to London later this year.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1sxIyoZ ) that the Oslo, Norway-based carrier announced Monday that it will offer twice-weekly flights between McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas and London’s Gatwick International on October 31.

The company plans to introduce the route with $199 one-way fares. Norwegian Air says it will use the 291-seat Boeing 787 Dreamliner jets on the route.

It already offers nonstop round trips between Las Vegas and Copenhagen, Denmark, and Stockholm, Sweden. Norwegian Air also plans to add service to Oslo in November.

Those routes have no competition, but the Las Vegas-London service will face competition from British carrier Virgin Atlantic.
