PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A Philadelphia-area doctor accused of trading painkillers for cash and sex called prosecutors bullies on the first day of his trial and says federal agents were out to “pick on the fat guy.”

Federal prosecutors say members of the Pagan motorcycle gang helped distribute oxycodone and other drugs obtained through Dr. William O’Brien III.

Prosecutors say O’Brien in October 2014 offered an FBI agent Xanax pills in exchange for sex acts. The agent had been recording the encounter at O’Brien’s Philadelphia office.

Federal prosecutors said Monday that O’Brien has also propositioned strippers for office sex in exchange for drugs.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports (https://bit.ly/1qGvr3v ) O’Brien, who is representing himself, told jurors he propositioned the FBI agent for sex acts, but maintains he did nothing criminal.

O’Brien is jailed without bail.
