MEADVILLE, Miss. (AP) - Officials say a man has been rescued after being trapped in a water tank in Meadville.

The Clarion-Ledger reports (https://on.thec-l.com/1Tw9sEy) the incident took place Monday.

Fire Chief Roger Causey says the unidentified man and another man were working inside the elevated tank, which has no water in it.

The unidentified man injured his back and was unable to get out of the tank. The other man was able to go for help.

A crane was used to rescue the trapped man, who was taken to the hospital to be examined.

Sheriff James Newman says the man is expected to be OK.
