MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - A Montgomery teenager has died after the car he was riding inside crashed during a high-speed chase.

Montgomery County Sheriff Derrick Cunningham tells news outlets that deputies were pursuing the speeding vehicle Monday morning because it fit the description of a vehicle involved in a nearby burglary attempt.

Authorities say the car crashed into a minivan on U.S. Route 231 and drove into a ditch, killing 17-year-old Deonte Davidson and injuring the other three suspects in the vehicle.

The other three suspects have not been identified. The two people inside the minivan were not injured.
