SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Sioux Falls police say a dog jumped out of a screened second-story window of a house and attacked a woman and another dog.

Lt. Loren McManus says that on Saturday a pit bull mix jumped from the window and chased two women who were walking their dogs. McManus says the pit bull mix bit a 45-year-old woman’s hand, and that she was treated at a hospital. McManus says the woman’s dog had a broken leg.

The Argus Leader (https://argusne.ws/1TtktvK ) reports the owner of the pit bull mix wasn’t cited because it pushed through a window that was screened.

The pit bull mix was taken to the Humane Society and will be monitored for rabies.
