RAWLINS, Wyo. (AP) - A former manager of Bi-Rite Gifts in Rawlins has pleaded no contest to a charge of theft.

The Rawlins Times reports (https://bit.ly/1NPBhLc ) that Sherry Roberts appeared in Carbon County District Court on Wednesday for the change of plea hearing. She is accused of activating about $35,000 worth of gift cards that were not paid for.

According to a plea agreement, prosecutors will recommend a sentence of three to six years in prison be suspended for three years of supervised probation. Roberts will also have to pay $38,500 in restitution.

Sentencing in the case is scheduled for Aug. 31.
