MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) - Police have arrested a Smyrna man suspected in a shooting at a Cobb County apartment complex that killed two men.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (https://on-ajc.com/1TEuRRn) 20-year-old Jeffrey Welstin Smith was arrested Wednesday in connection with the shooting deaths of 23-year-old John Ogundipe and 22-year-old Alex White.

Cobb County Police Officer Alicia Chilton says police responded to reports of a shooting Wednesday afternoon at the Cobblestone Apartment Homes in Marietta. When officers arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds inside a car parked at the complex.

One of the men died at the scene. The other was taken to a hospital where died.

Police arrested Smith at the scene of the shooting. He is charged with two counts of murder, two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of armed robbery.

It’s unclear if Smith has an attorney.
