SHOW LOW, Ariz. (AP) - Navajo County authorities say a Show Low man is facing charges of aggravated assault on police officers.

County sheriff’s officials say detectives were serving a search warrant Wednesday for 27-year-old Tyler Jeffrey Gold, who had outstanding felony warrants for his arrest.

One of the warrants was for Gold’s suspected involvement in a shooting at a Walmart in Show Low.

Authorities say Gold tried to flee the home owned by his mother.

Sheriff’s officials say Gold pointed a handgun at officers before he barricaded himself in a room.

He eventually surrendered without incident and was booked into the Navajo County Jail.

It was unclear Thursday if Gold has a lawyer yet.
