BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - A southeastern Montana man has been sentenced to two years in prison for striking and killing a pedestrian with his car on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation.

The Billings Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1TD9ksg ) that 44-year-old Marlin Dell Whitedirt was sentenced Wednesday after previously pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter in connection to the November 2013 death of 18-year-old Alex Little Coyote.

Whitedirt previously admitted in court to drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana before the crash.
