WASHINGTON PARK, Ill. (AP) - A man sought in the fatal shooting of a woman during a carjacking in which the suspects threw an infant from the vehicle has been shot and killed by police in Illinois.

Illinois State Police Master Sgt. Mark Doiron says the 21-year-old man was killed by federal marshals and a Caseyville officer Thursday in Washington Park, east of St. Louis. Details of that and the man’s name weren’t released.

Twenty-one-year-old Brandi Hill of O’Fallon, Missouri, was killed Sunday night in downtown St. Louis. A pregnant passenger was dragged from Hill’s car.

Police say the suspects drove away, throwing the 9-month-old girl from the car. The child was unharmed.

St. Louis prosecutors have charged 19-year-old Ross Randolph of Belleville, Illinois, with first-degree murder, robbery, armed criminal action, kidnapping and child endangerment.
