TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Tucson have released the name of a 3-year-old boy who was fatally struck by a truck on the city’s south side.

They say the victim of Wednesday night’s accident was Denver Greenberg.

Police say the boy was riding a push scooter with his father and 4-year-old brother following behind him.

They say boy had just entered an unmarked crosswalk when the driver of the truck made a left turn and struck the child about 6 p.m.

First responders rushed Greenberg to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say the driver of the truck remained on the scene and hasn’t been cited.

They say speed and alcohol don’t appear to be a factor, but the investigation remains open.
