BROKEN BOW, Neb. (AP) - Broken Bow officials are hosting a series of ribbon cuttings to celebrate downtown reconstruction projects.

The North Platte Telegraph reports (https://bit.ly/24b62MB ) that city officials were to cut the first of the ribbons Friday morning.

Officials had closed a portion of Eighth Street for new sidewalks, paving, storm sewers, water lines and street lights. Businesses such as the chamber of commerce, a salon, a computer store, a tax firm and an eye-care office remained open during the closure.

The next ribbon cutting is planned for June 3, when flower pots will be placed on light poles downtown.
