BEATRICE, Neb. (AP) - Fiddle tunes will be the musical fashion Saturday at the Homestead National Monument of America in southeast Nebraska.

The Tallgrass Prairie Fiddle Festival begins at 10 a.m. with fiddling and harmonica workshops. Competitions for the $3,350 in prize money begin at noon.

Competitors can register in the Junior Division (five years or less of playing), Senior Division (more than five years of playing) or the Legends Division (have previously won the Senior Division). The Acoustic Band competition follows the divisions competitions.

There also will be a competition for tune writing and honors for the best left-handed fiddler.

The monument sits four miles west of Beatrice, along Nebraska Highway 4.
