ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - A Rochester man has been convicted of murder in the fatal shooting of a man inside a suburban bar last year during a shootout that left six others wounded.

Jurors in Rochester convicted 32-year-old David Alligood of second-degree murder on Thursday.

Prosecutors say the gunfire erupted after Alligood got into an argument with a woman at the Gates Pub in the town of Gates in April 2015.

Authorities say he then pulled out a gun and started firing, killing 37-year-old Ricky Jones. Police say Jones also had a gun and used it in self-defense. Officials say Jones shot some of the others and was hit six times himself.

Alligood’s attorney, Paul Vacca, says surveillance video of the shootout wasn’t as clear as prosecutors claimed.

Alligood’s sentencing is scheduled for late June.
