PHOENIX (AP) - A Mesa man has been sentenced to life in prison plus 25 years in connection with two fatal shootings weeks apart in 2013.

Maricopa County prosecutors say 23-year-old Keishaun Green was sentenced Friday.

A jury in February found Green guilty of first-degree murder and attempted armed robbery in the death of a Mesa convenience store clerk.

According to police reports, surveillance video showed Green walking over to the victim and shooting him on May 31, 2013.

Green also was accused of fatally shooting a drug dealer on June 15, 2013.

Mesa police say evidence found at the second shooting linked Green to the first shooting.

Prosecutors say Green pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the second shooting.

They say Green got a consecutive 25-year prison sentence for the second killing.
