HORICON, N.Y. (AP) - State forest rangers are asking seasonal residents and visitors to the Warren County town of Horicon to look for signs of an 82-year-old man who’s been missing since November.

The Department of Environmental Conservation says Thomas Messick of Troy was last seen a short distance off Lily Pond Road near Brant Lake on November 15. He was wearing a camouflage jacket, coveralls and a red and black plaid hat.

A search began after Messick failed to meet up with his hunting group. Despite a two-month search with hundreds of volunteers, no sign of Messick has been found.

Rangers are asking people returning to summer homes and camps to search for any sign of Messick’s presence and report it to DEC’s Ray Brook office.
