CHARLTON, Mass. (AP) - The Latest on the funeral of Auburn Police Officer Ronald Tarentino Jr. (all times local):

12:20 p.m.

The youngest sister of a Massachusetts police officer killed by a driver he pulled over remembered her brother for his sense of humor and his willingness to help anyone.

Caitlin Tarentino delivered the eulogy for Auburn Officer Ronald Tarentino Jr. at his funeral Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Charlton.

She made the mourners laugh when she remembered the place of privilege her big brother had as the first-born child in an Italian family. She said it made him “kind of a big deal,” and earned him the nickname “the Prince.”

She was followed by Auburn Chief Andrew Sluckis, who said he never heard a single complaint about Tarentino, who had earned his deepest respect and trust.

Tarentino’s son, Spenser, urged people to be more respectful of police officers.

She also thanked the children of Auburn and Leicester for their support. Officer Ronald Tarentino served with the Auburn Police Department and lived in Leicester.

The funeral at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Charlton will be followed by burial at Greenville Baptist Church Cemetery in Leicester.
