SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - The Utah Transit Authority will briefly halt all trains and buses on Saturday in memory of a slain rail line worker who disappeared during his shift.

Officials said Friday that a short message honoring 63-year-old Kay Ricks will be read by the bus and train operators during the pause at noon. His funeral is also set for noon in his hometown of American Fork, about 30 miles south of Salt Lake City.

Authorities are investigating whether his death is linked to two men suspected of tying up a woman and her four teenage daughters in a basement. Police say the father and son were lying low near Ricks’ route when he disappeared.

Police say his body was found in Wyoming, along a likely route to the campsite where the men hid out before their arrest.
