MACON, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a 14-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with 35 counts of entering an automobile in Macon.

Bibb County Sheriff David Davis told the Telegraph (https://bit.ly/1Vn5UJi ) that the incidents by the boy occurred over a year’s time, and he disclosed during questioning that the cars were unlocked. Davis says Many of the autos entered were in neighborhoods and some of the incidents occurred on Mercer University’s campus.

The name of the teenager has not been released. He was arrested Thursday.

Davis says the boy was taken to the Macon Regional Youth Detention Center.

Davis says more charges and more arrests might be made as the investigation continues.
