CLINTON, S.C. (AP) - The Laurens County sheriff says three teenagers are charged with murder after the body of a missing 17-year-old was found burned.

Laurens County Coroner Nick Nichols said in a news release that the victim was killed by blows to the head before being set on fire.

The coroner says DNA tests will be needed to confirm the body is Edwin Diaz-Chirinos, but the remains were found near his car.

Diaz-Chirinos disappeared two weeks ago. Sheriff Ricky Chastain says three teens lured the victim to a home to kill him.

Deputies say 17-year-old Karina Galarza, 17-year-old Davian Holman and 19-year-old Fabian Green are all charged with murder and desecration of human remains. It wasn’t known if any of them had a lawyer.
