TUALATIN, Ore. (AP) - Rescue officials say a father and his two young sons were rescued after their canoe submerged in the Tualatin River.

Members of the Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue and others responded to reports Saturday afternoon that three people had fallen out of their canoe after it went under water near Cook Park in Tigard.

The three were able to make their way to a river bank in Tualatin, where they were picked up by rescue crews. They were evaluated by paramedics.

All three were wearing life vests.
