CHICOPEE, Mass. (AP) - The state fire marshal’s office is investigating a fire at an automotive center in Chicopee that was fueled by containers of motor vehicle fluids, including gasoline.

Authorities say the fire Friday at Center Auto Parts started in a building at the rear of the property that housed a car crusher. The fluids also were stored there.

The Department of Environmental Protection was called to the scene because of concern that oil and gas in the water being used to extinguish the fire would wash into the street or sewer.
