MERIDIAN, Miss. (AP) - The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a recent burglary of a business where 41 guns were stolen.

The Meridian Star reports (https://bit.ly/1Wswv95 ) that Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun says the store had been robbed three times in the past three weeks.

Calhoun says the robbers took a range of guns, from shotguns to small handguns.

He says authorities will seek to find the guns. He also asked people to be cautious when they are buying a firearm and make sure they’re buying a gun from the weapon’s owner.
