COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a man has been shot in the parking lot of a shopping mall in Columbia.

Richland County deputies said in a news release that the man was wounded in the lower body around noon Saturday.

Authorities say he was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. His name was not released.

No one else was injured, and no arrests have been made.

The Columbia Mall in the northeastern part of Richland County remained open after the shooting and deputies say no one inside was threatened.
