BALTIMORE (AP) - Police say a 41-year-old associate pastor at a Baltimore church was fatally shot as she got into her car outside her home.

According to police, a man approached Latrina Ashburne on Friday morning and shot her in the upper body as she tried to run. Police did not have a motive or a suspect.

Ashburne was an associate pastor at the Kingdom Restoration Center church. Her uncle and the senior pastor at the church, the Reverend Chrsitian Hall, said Ashburne also worked as a teacher’s aide at Francis Scott Key Elementary School.

Hall told The Baltimore Sun (https://bsun.md/25poYd1 ) that his niece had been a preacher since her teens.
