WEBB, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a man has died after being thrown overboard when his boat was struck by another vessel in upstate New York.

New York State Police say it happened shortly before 10 p.m. Friday on Big Moose Lake in the Town of Webb, about 70 miles from Utica.

They say 61-year-old Timothy Dunn, of Marcy, was thrown overboard when his aluminum boat was struck by another boat. Investigators believe Dunn’s boat did not have headlights. They say police scuba divers found his body in the water Saturday morning.

Police say their preliminary investigation shows there’s no reason to believe any criminality was involved. They say a probe is still ongoing.
