ROUSES POINT, N.Y. (AP) - The Rouses Point border crossing in northern New York will be temporarily closed to trucks and larger vehicles starting June 6.

A construction project on the border crossing is expected to last through July. But the temporary diversion of commercial and oversized vehicles is expected to last only about two weeks.

Oversized vehicles and vehicles towing something are being asked to use the Overton Corners and Champlain border crossings.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection will make an announcement when larger vehicles can again cross at Rouses Point.
