PASADENA, Calif. (AP) - A bear made its way out of the San Gabriel Mountains and well into the city of Pasadena before it was tranquilized Saturday.

Police Lt. John Mercado tells the Pasadena Star-News (https://bit.ly/1VnpNjB ) that officers and state Fish and Wildlife officials chased the bear for about three hours after it was spotted around 9 a.m.

It finally ended up in a tree in a residential backyard before being tranquilized and loaded into a pickup for a ride back into the Angeles National Forest.
