BATESVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Police say two men have been killed in separate crashed on state roadways.

State police say 27-year-old Billy Eugene Varela of Batesville died shortly after 1:30 a.m. Sunday in a crash in Independence County and 38-year-old Christopher Myers of Russellville was killed Saturday in a crash in Yell County.

A police report says Varela died after the motorcycle he was driving went off Highway 25 in a curve and overturned in a ditch before crashing into an embankment.

Another report says Myers was killed and two people were injured when the pickup truck he was driving went off Highway 27 and struck a driveway, then overturned.

The reports say the weather was clear and the roads were dry at the time of both accidents.
