MANDAN, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota National Guard is hosting the annual Memorial Day ceremony at the North Dakota Veteran’s Cemetery south of Mandan on Monday.

This year’s ceremony will focus on commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.

The event begins at noon. It will be preceded by an Honor Run involving about 500 motorcyclists.

A National Guard Lakota helicopter flyover also is planned, and the Guard’s 188th Army Band Brass Quintet will perform.

The ceremony is free to the public.
