CANTERBURY, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire state police say a man was killed when his car went off the left side of Interstate 93 southbound in Canterbury and struck a tree.

Authorities say 24-year-old Gordon Borek of Durham was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash that occurred Saturday afternoon.

Troopers say witnesses at the scene told them Borek was driving erratically before he drove off the road.

The investigation is ongoing, but authorities say it appears alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. They say Borek was not wearing a seatbelt and might have survived if he had been.
