ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - A 34-year-old St. Paul woman hit by a car while crossing the street last week has died.

HealthPartners confirmed to the St. Paul Pioneer Press (https://bit.ly/20Q5wCL ) on Saturday that Erin Durham died. Durham has suffered severe head trauma in the accident.

Durham attempted to cross Maryland Avenue after putting her son on a school bus in the city’s Payne-Phalen Monday morning.

Police say the driver of a box truck in one of Maryland Avenue’s two westbound lanes stopped and waved Durham across, but a 26-year-old woman continued through the intersection and struck Durham.

Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
