MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - Standout linebacker Grant Wiley and former football assistant coach Donnie Young are among seven chosen for the West Virginia University Sports Hall of Fame.

WVU athletic director Shane Lyons announced the Class of 2016 on Sunday.

Wiley was a four-year starter from 2000 to 2003. He is WVU’s all-time leader in career solo and total tackles and tackles for loss.

Young retired in 2012 after more than 40 years at his alma mater. He started his coaching career as the freshman football coach in 1970.

Others in the 2016 class are men’s tennis player Joby Foley, rifle competitor David Johnson, basketball standouts Damian Owens and Don Vincent, and distance runner Charity Wachera.

Induction ceremonies will take place Sept. 10 before WVU’s home football game with Youngstown State.
