HEYWORTH, Ill. (AP) - Authorities in central Illinois say a 22-year-old man died in a dirt bike accident.

Authorities identified the victim as Andrew Johnson of Heyworth. He was found Saturday afternoon in a creek near a wooded area in Heyworth.

McLean County Coroner Kathy Davis tells The (Bloomington) Pantagraph (https://bit.ly/25tYVRN) that Johnson was unconscious from a blunt force head injury when he entered the water. Preliminary autopsy results indicate Johnson died of drowning due to the accident.

Toxicology results are pending. The McLean County Coroner’s Office and McLean County Sheriff’s Department are investigating.

Heyworth is about 12 miles south of Bloomington in McLean County.
