CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Gov. Maggie Hassan is directing flags to fly at half-staff in New Hampshire on Memorial Day.

Hassan says the holiday is a time to come together to honor the heroes who courageously made the ultimate sacrifice to protect fellow citizens and defend our freedom.

She says Memorial Day is a time “to express the profound gratitude, respect and admiration that we have every day for these heroic men and women and their families.”
