BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A 19-year-old man is in custody in Bismarck after allegedly firing a gun at a group of people.

Police responded to the scene shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday. People in the group told officers that a man they didn’t know had started a fight, then retrieved a handgun and fired one shot into the air and two shots aimed at them. No one was hurt.

Officers arrested the man for attempted murder, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief. Formal charges were pending.
