WASHINGTON (AP) - Metro is operating on a Sunday schedule for the Memorial Day holiday, and off-peak fares are in effect all day.

Metro says parking will be free at all Metro rail parking facilities Monday, and the rail system will close at midnight.

Work on the rail system will also affect Memorial Day travelers. Three stations on the orange line are closed: Vienna, Dunn Loring and West Falls Church.

Free shuttle buses are operating between Vienna and East Falls Church. There are no orange line trains and silver line trains are operating between Wiehle-Reston East and New Carrollton.
