VINEYARD, Utah (AP) - The town of Vineyard is honoring a city employee who was killed by her police-officer husband along with her mother and their two children in 2014.

The Daily Herald newspaper in Provo reports (https://bit.ly/1VqAEJD) that city workers are still mourning 32-year-old Kelly Boren and her family members. She worked as a treasurer for Vineyard.

They gathered Friday to remember her and dedicate improvements to a city park in their honor.

Boren’s father says his daughter loved working for the city and spending time at the park. Jeff King thanked everyone who helped with the upgrades that included two new benches.

Police have said that Lindon Police officer Joshua Boren shot his wife, her mother, 55-year-old Marie King; and his two children, 7-year-old Joshua “Jaden” and 5-year-old Haley, before killing himself in January 2014.
