WEST CHARLESTON, Vt. (AP) - Vermont state police say two Vermonters are dead and two others suffered serious injuries in a one-car crash in West Charleston.

Authorities say 26-year-old Ryan Coulter of Newport, and 29-year-old Esperanza Robies of Derby Line died in the crash Sunday at about 4:40 p.m. on Route 105 southbound.

Police say the driver, 30-year-old Joshua Cole of Derby, lost control of the 1994 Honda Prelude on a sharp curve and hit a tree. His three passengers were ejected from the car.

Also injured was 27-year-old Amanda Letourneau of East Charleston.

Police say all four occupants were not wearing seatbelts, and that alcohol and speed were contributing factors.

The case remains under investigation.
