ATLANTIC, Va. (AP) - Virginia State Police say two Delaware women were killed when the car they were in hit a light pole in Accomack County.

Media outlets report that 56-year-old Lauren Burris was driving on Nocks Landing Road about 8:30 p.m. Monday.

Troopers say Burris lost control of the car and hit a light pole.

Authorities say Burris died on the way to a hospital, and a passenger, 57-year-old Camilla Williams, died early Tuesday from injuries she suffered in the crash.

Troopers say a second passenger was not hurt.
