JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - The Mississippi Highway Patrol says two people were killed and 49 were injured on state and federal highways during the Memorial Day weekend.

The patrol’s enforcement period began Friday evening and ended at midnight Monday.

A news release Tuesday says state troopers investigated 132 crashes and made 164 DUI arrests during that time.
