ELLSWORTH, Wis. (AP) - A man and woman from the Twin Cities metro have died in a fiery motorcycle collision in western Wisconsin.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department says the two were on a motorcycle that struck an SUV as it attempted to make a turn on Highway 10 in Ellsworth Monday evening.

Authorities say 58-year-old James Marinaro of New Brighton, Minnesota and 52-year-old Denise Thomas, of Blaine, Minnesota were thrown from the bike and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Sheriff’s officials say both the motorcycle and SUV started on fire. The 20-year-old woman driving the SUV was taken to River Falls Area Hospital. Her condition was not released.
