DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) - Police say a 2-year-old Dubuque boy suffered a skull fracture when he was hit by a car.
The Telegraph Herald (https://bit.ly/1r0AJXB ) reports authorities responded Sunday night to a report that a child had been hit by a vehicle.
Jaceyon Young was taken to a Dubuque hospital and later flown to an Iowa City hospital. Police say he sustained an open skull fracture.
Fifty-nine-year-old Michael Plein, of Dubuque, said he was backing out of a parking space when he hit the boy, who was riding a tricycle. Plein told police he didn’t see the child in the parking lot.
