APPLETON, Wis. (AP) - An Appleton woman is charged with fatally stabbing her husband last week.

Thirty-four-year-old Tina Hafeman was charged Tuesday with first-degree intentional homicide. She appeared in court, and cash bond was set at $500,000.

Appleton police were called to a home early Friday on a report of a stabbing. According to the complaint, officers found 35-year-old Chad Hafeman on a bed with two stab wounds to his chest. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

WBAY-TV (https://bit.ly/1spsZ2I ) reports Tina Hafeman told investigators she and her husband went out drinking to celebrate his getting a pay raise, but they started arguing when they came home. She said she blacked out, but might have gone to the kitchen to get a knife.

The couple’s children are being cared for by family members.
