TOMS RIVER, N.J. (AP) - A man who allegedly killed his wife and sparked a lengthy standoff at their home last summer has been indicted on a murder charge.

Arthur Haskoor also faces two weapons counts in the indictment made public on Tuesday.

The charges stem from an Aug. 25 standoff at the couple’s Plumsted home. Police responding to a reported domestic dispute found 47-year-old Susanne Haskoor’s body in the driveway. She had been stabbed to death.

Authorities also found a note on the front door stating there were guns in the home and that the man inside would kill them. Arthur Haskoor eventually was found unresponsive in the home with what authorities said were self-inflicted injuries.

Arthur Haskoor remains jailed on $1 million cash bail. He faces a potential life sentence.

It’s not known if he’s retained an attorney.
