SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Springfield police are investigating after a man was shot to death over the holiday weekend near where a rap video was being filmed.

The victim of the shooting at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday was identified by police as 27-year-old Bobby Owens.

Police say he was shot near a vacant duplex where 20 to 25 people were either involved in or were watching as the rap video was filmed. Several people involved were detained for questioning, but police did not immediately say if the victim was involved with the video in any way.

One man was detained on gun charges but no one has been charged with the homicide.

Police were alerted by the city’s gunshot detection system, and found Owens in a vehicle being driven to the hospital.
