MESA, Ariz. (AP) - Two people are dead and the husband of one of the victims is in custody following a shooting that Mesa police say stems from an apparent domestic violence situation.

Police say 38-year-old Christopher Wright is being held on suspicion of two counts of first-degree murder. It isn’t immediately clear if he has a lawyer yet.

Police say the incident occurred early Tuesday on the roundabout at the McKellips Road interchange with the Loop 202 freeway.

They say Wright is accused of fatally shooting his 41-year-old wife Nasbah Laverne Wright and a man whose truck collided with the couple’s car.

Police say the man’s name is being withheld until his relatives are notified.

Police say Nasbah Wright called 911 about 4 a.m. to report an apparent road-rage incident involving her husband.
